Ok, base skin is ready, now it's time to put some colors...

Step 1 - Changing car color

1.1
Start GIMP, open "XR_GT_BASE.xcf" project.
Change project's name, Menu File -> Save as... (f/e: "XR_GT_MYSKIN_1.xcf")

1.2
Create new gradient, use "Default" as template
Change "Right Endpoint's Colour" to red,
"Left Endpoint's Colour" to grey

1.3
Active "Body Mask" layer, select car side

Add new layer, name it "Body color" (note, that it should be on top of layers list)
Set it's mode to "Multiply"

Put gradient on selected area

1.4
Active "Body Mask" layer, select car front
For this part use "Fill" tool (with red color)

1.5
Save project as jpg file, start LFS Viewer and load skin
As You can see, front part is a bit to bright

1.6
Go back to GIMP, and change brightness of selected area
Menu Layer -> Colours -> Brightness-Contrast

1.7
Repeat steps 4-6 with car back (grey color)

1.8
Put gradient on top of car (remember to draw on "Body color" layer), copy car side with mirror mode

Step 2 - Vinyl mask

2.1
Use "Path" tool, create shape

Bend path's segments

Add stroke, save project as jpg, and preview it with LFS Viewer

Get back to GIMP, undo stroke (CTRL Z), and modify path. Repeat until You're satisfied

Create selection from path, add new layer "Vinyl mask", and fill selection with some color

2.2
Create path for top side

Create selection, fill it. Copy selection with mirror mode

Connect vinyl parts with line

2.3
Select front of vinyl, copy selection, add new layer and paste selection

2.4
Reload skin in LFS Viewer.

Vinyl doesn't fit, because car front/back is different size than other parts

Top side height is 385px, front is 448px, that gives us ~1.163 factor
So we have to rescale "New Layer" to 1191x1191 resolution (1024 * 1.163)
Menu Layer -> Scale Layer

Now place layer so vinyl fits
Cut vinyl from bumper
Merge "New Layer" with "Vinyl Mask" when finished

Connect vinyl parts

Step 3 - Vinyl color

3.1
Active "Vinyl Mask" layer, select side vinyl, hide "Vinyl Mask"
Add new layer "Vinyl"
Put black-red gradient on selection

3.2
Put gradient on top side

3.3
Copy "Vinyl Mask" layer, name it "Vinyl 1"
Change it's color to black
Menu Layer -> Colour -> Hue-Saturation

3.4
Active "Vinyl" layer, apply "Fade" effect
Menu Script-Fu -> Selection -> Fade Outline

Apply "Gaussian Blur" with 10px radius
Menu Filters -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur

Active "Vinyl Mask" layer, make outside selection (use "Select contiguous region" out of vinyl)

Grow selection with 2px
Menu Select -> Grow

Active "Vinyl" layer, cut selected area (Ctrl X)
Merge "Vinyl" layer with "Vinyl 1"

3.5
Copy side vinyl with mirror mode

Step 4 - Logos

First we have to download logos
Use google, You can also find some here http://www.logotypes.ru

Remember to paste logo as new layer

4.1
Scale layer

4.2
Remove black background
U can do this with eraser tool, or by selecting black area and deleting it
In this case (dark background) just change layer's display mode to "Lighten only"

4.3
Change layer colors
Manu Layer -> Colours -> Colourise

4.4
Duplicate layer and place it on left side of car

4.5
Download next logo

4.6
Invert colors, Menu -> Layer -> Colours -> Invert
Rotate layer

4.7
Make rectangular selection over logo, apply "Curve Bend" filter
Menu -> Filters -> Distorts -> Curve Bend

4.8
Change layer mode to "Lighten only", correct colors

4.9
Copy layer, rotate it to fit left side

That's it, now place as many logos as You like using these methods
Don't be afraid to play with filters, display modes (just save xcf before :)
